After seeing a post about members talking about their numbers and it has been a long time since this was done so......

Tell me when your first day on LOST occurred.

Hard to pinpoint for me. I bought my KJ in mid Sept 04, had knee surgery at the end of Sept so I think I found LOST the first week of October 2004.

And I was a trouble maker back then. I was arguing about getting tired of hearing everyone spout about AllJ's sliders being the only way to go. I grew up quickly.

So, for me, first week October 2004.

Tell us your date of initiation....

April 07 for me, it was a clear day, slight breeze coming in from the South-east, harvest time, I had just been having many colourful words with a few imbosiles on the Australian Jeep website, you know the kind, KJ's are crap, Kj's aren't Jeeps, my TJ is a real Jeep, that sort of thing, and my Good friend Fouros rang me and told me about a place, a wonderful place, where everybody had a KJ, and there was happyness and joy, and everybody gave advice and suggestions on how to make my KJ better....and I've been here ever since

Oh it was a loverly day...

For me it was early January of '05, when it was on the old sleazy... er I mean e-z board  - I had purchased my KJ the week after Christmas and was doing some looking around for information. I found this site and KJ Country about the same time and have frequented both since then. 8)

April 07 - Just purchased a rolled liberty at auction, decided I needed to find a liberty site to post on, searched and found lost. Shortly thereafter the rebuild began.

I bought my KJ in late August of 04 and found the board by October, so we must have joined about the same time. Why do you have more than ten times the amount of posts I have?

I got L.O.S.T. in early September 04, bought the Liberty September 21, 04 . Found the site while at work by accident really, never drove a Liberty and wanted to see what others were doing with theirs. Actually never drove a Liberty until after I bought mine on line and they delivered it to me at home! Bought it in West Virginia never knowing I would soon move to where they build them!

Oh and Tokyojoe you being a trouble maker back then, I remember those days     ....But I was quiet and shy...I cause trouble now some would say.............

Started at my current job in Nov 2004 and now went on a twisty back road for a 15 min drive rather than 45 min highway. Slid my 96 Olds off a corner right before Thanksgiving, started looking for a Jeep, and picked up my 03 KJ on 12/01/04...my birthday. Found the LOST EZ board from an Google search and haven't left since.

My first day was in June of 2008. Ive been looking for a " Family Off-Road" vehicle". I was going through some of my magazines when I came across Seth's cactus green Renegade. Shortly after that I purchased a cactus green Renegade. I believe I seen something in the magazine about the forum. Since then Ive been lost...

Ummm...err......almost too far back to remember.

I was shopping smaller SUV's back in August of 02 when I stumbled on the group of original LOST members and founders from the Jeeps unlimited forums. I found a link in skrracing's sig (IIRC) and found the old EZ board forum. Been here ever since. Fun times.

Twas a blustery day in November, back in '05. I remember it well: I had owned my Jeep for about a year and a half, and was having trouble getting her aligned. I started 'googling', found myself L.O.S.T., and NEVER looked back. Now, I don't have gainful employment, but I do have an addiction, and her name is........Libby!

Hmmm, well, I bought the KJ on Sept 21, 2005. Started looking around forums that week, and joined LOST exactly two weeks later.

I love this place. Home away from work...err, home...whatever. 8)

It was the best of times.....It was the worst of times.
January 12, 2007; a young brash Regional Sales Manager for an audio manufacturer stepped out of the SLC airport and into a wet snowy wintery day. He felt confident since he recently wore down his employer who was insisting that he buy a Subaru wagon as a company car. He convinced the bosses that a Liberty CRD would be utilitarian and economical to operate (they were paying the bills after all).
He steps to the curb and immediately sees a young man holding a sign with his name on it; that man is the salesperson from CarMax who after a 3 month search, was holding a 2006 CRD that showed up in his inventory.
After a quick drive to South Jordan, UT and signing of contracts, this audio guy became JL Rockies. His computer arrived to his new home along with all his personal belongings several hours later via UPS (21 100lbs boxes). Once his computer was set up he immediately began posting and was being edited almost as quickly!

Two Score and Seven Months ago:
I was looking for a 4x4 small SUV, 2 of my friends had just bought new Wranglers and I decided I also wanted a 4-wheel drive. I didn't want to follow them down the path of the Wrangler, I've always wanted to make my own path. So I went to a great place called Carmax, where I test drove multiple small SUV's and finally came upon this light khaki beauty of a Liberty with everything I wanted. Leather/heated Seats, Sunroof, 4-wheel drive with option for fulltime. So I bought it, the next day I was Googling a lift and found LOST.....Have been here ever since.

I think I joined in August of '03. Earlier that summer had test driven a friends KJ and liked it. He raved about how fun it was. I ended up buying mine used and immediately wanted to lift it. I joined as I was doing the research. Mine came with bling 18's and low profile Pirelli's on it. I swapped them for a Daystar lift, black steelies and 265/75 MTR's before I had even taken it offroad. I had never done any 4-wheeling before. When I did, I got off-line on the very first obstacle and had to stop.

I was so green I wrote Clint an email to discuss why we couldn't get better CV's to help with the 'extreme' angles that we all feared would be so disasterous. I didn't even even know what a CV was! (I think I know finally  )

It's been great to learn with the KJ, and this forum has been a wealth of information. We also started the AZLOST group from it and have had so much fun 'wheelin as a group.

Todd

I think I stumbled onto the old EZ board around June or July 2002.
I had recently traded my TJ for the KJ and thought I would search the net for KJ info, when I ran into the LOST site.
I still remember my first trail run with the newly formed KJWest group. It was White Mountain. Clint, Wally, Blaine and a few others whose names escape me right now were all there with their shiny new KJ's. Quinn was there as well, with his Jeep. I don't think JJ had his KJ yet, but I could be wrong (my memory stinks). Man, I'll have to dig up some of those pictures.

A friend in Colorado heard I bought a Jeep and invited me to go wheeling with him in Moab the spring of 2006. I told him my baby was stock, it wasn't a "real" Jeep like his YJ and wasn't sure I wanted to risk my brand new tractor. He convinced me that it WAS a real Jeep and that he could get me through the trail with only the addition of rock rails (stock with skids). I found some rails ready to ship at RRO and got them installed. headed cross country and hooked up with his 4x4 group.

I found out I owned a real Jeep. I made it through the trail with just a little damage, but the end result was that I was hooked. I found L.O.S.T right right after the trip in June of 2006.

It was July 1, 2006. I seem to have a knack for getting threads locked but I do love it here! My first day, first week and first month was spent reading just about everything that had been posted. So much good STUFF! :D

Well I joined back in late June/ early July of 2005. I was only on the old EZ Board for a week or two when the change to this site happened. I had just bought the KJ and was looking for ways to improve it. I have learned a lot from the site and had no problem paying to become a lifetime member to support LOST. Also, I have met a great group of people here.
