the 02-04 vs 05 up difference is thickness - the earlier ones are thicker the 05's are thinner - a couple of folks with 05's have gotten earlier skids to go stronger.

(and if you order a new one it has extra holes up front - someone said its for the 08's?)

the 544 and 545 brackets show on the parts diagram - however on both the original skid that I bent up and the replacement those brackets are welded onto the plates - maybe they're replaceable?

So it turns out the used skid I bought was bent and did not fit (hitting the front dif even before bolted down.) However, in case other people wanted to know, I used 10m x 40m with a 1.5” pitch and those bolts could go all the way in with no issues. I’m sure a 30m would have worked fine but I couldn’t find any in that size. Regarding the brackets, yes no need for them, they must have been the front brackets that were already welded on.

Do you think a dealer was trying to sell an extra part? No they would never do something like that would they?
