ok so i picked up a 4d maglite at home depot today for 19 bucks, not a bad deal at all... came with 4 d cells too...

im curious what the best conversion is for getting the most out of it?

should i just do the maglite led upgrade? or is there another brand i should look at?

also, what mounts are you guys doing/using in your jeeps?

I just recently bought the LED upgrade, I got it at walmart for $15 and it is much brighter now I highly recommend the LED bulb and I have it mounted on the drivers side seat using the mag light mounts

you can use peanut butter

Seriously, I bought the flashlight brackets from Home Depot and mounted it on the driver's side seat mount...whatever it's called
I'm very interested in finding out if the LED conversion works well too cause it's expensive.

it is well worth the money! plus it will allow you to use your batteries longer bc the LED doesnt draw near the power as the regular filament bulb

here is how mine is mounted:

Here's a thread with more pics and a link to a different LED replacement. I've gotta say I'm impressed with the LED - much whiter, equally as bright and still has the ability to change focus :D
