Put my snorkel to the test. After seeing some of these I was like "holy crap what was I thinking?" Taken 11/1 at JW Corbett WMA in W Palm Bch, FL. I was the only KJ there but I digress......

Yeah, as soon as water flowed over my hood and up the windshield, I popped the hood and checked the air box; bone dry.

If you look closely at my face through the windshield in the last pic, it's sort of obvious I didn't realize the water was that deep.

There are a lot of pics of me going through mud but I didn't post them because they were not special. The key is keep moving even though your initial reaction is to brake as the water goes over the windshield.

The photographer is a member of our club here in Ft Lauderdale. He's been taking pics for a while and posting them up on flicker. Someone at Jeep had been looking at his pics and sent him a camera and simply asked him to "keep it up".
He was responsible for my rig of the month photo back in July.

What were you thinking? You were thinking "Shyeah, ain't no thang! Lemme show you how the KJ represents!"

That's what you were thinking. Those pics are hall-of-fame quality, too. Nice job.

Yes but your whole belief system shifts when the "road" rises up and tries to engulf your Jeep. There are alligators in these waters as well so if you get stuck, you are not really motivated to get out.

I was the lone KJ among some very well-built TJs. I had the least ground clearance bar far, yet I was the only one with a snorkel so I guess things evened out...... although more ground clearance AND a snorkel would be a nice combination to my KJ.
