Yes the CRD engine is much heavier than the 3.7L. and since the addition of the ARB and Warn up front (roughly 150lbs+/-) it helped a great deal with carrying the extra weight. which meant more lift. I never got exact measurements on it before and after the lift, but i would guess a lil less than 3" maybe 2.8 ish

my winch with cable was 94lbs. and the ARB and brackets was about 110.. how much heavier is the CRD engine than the gasser? if it's around 200lbs heavier that'd be perfect to change to CRD springs.

ms- if you want to go higher than 2.5 in lift.. a frankenlift will get you there. with a frankenlift and extra rear isolator i gained 3 1/4-1/2 inch of lift.. and kept my stock a arms and CV's.. (about $900 for it.. i have the standard franky) or you could add 2 rear isolators and do a clevis lift up front and be very close if not over 4 inches of lift or more. it would be a good idea to have al's arms and the cut CV's if you do go that high. in my opinon there is a lot of sketchy stuff on the JBA 6in lift. dont know how i feel about the knuckle extension... and there has been cases about the rear end bracket failing. however the JBA 4in lift seems very solid.. and you'd get the 4in of lift without all the combination (frankenlift would be a spacer, taller springs, and clevis in front.. springs and extra pads in the rear). if money is no issue.. wait for the SFA kit to be released. and if your serious... start looking for some parts and stock piling them. by time you buy the JBA 6in and everything with it your probably half way if not more to a SFA.

23 3/4" front,23 5/8" rear.I've swapped my front coils (left to right) so my front is pretty level from side to side.

Midas and a SFA

I don't trust Midas even for exhaust work let alone tearing my KJ completely apart and rebuilding it, do you realize the labor rates that will be charged and how long it will take to do....since they have no idea of what to do never done one???

As far as louder, from what I understand (and will be trying over the next few months) is replacing your cat with a high performance cat, and also having a 3" pipe coming out of the muffler will increase your sound and also deepen it (the cat increases, the pipe deepens. Though I'm sure some will argue :)

will Midas let your fabrication guy have the rack and one bay tied up for a few weeks/months while he cuts everything out and then builds, tracks down parts etc. ????

As long as he replaces his current slipping clutch with a new, centrifugal clutch!

And a blinker fluid flush. Drain and fill is not enough!
