For all the people who installed the aftermarket metal rear brake light guards, have you had issues with rubbing on the rear gate coming in contact with the guards?

The space between the guard and the gate is tight and tends to rub so I suspect the paint will wear off and rust the door. Any body able to minimize this at all?

Thanks

only problem I had with mine was getting a State inspection done. Fools made me take them off, said they were blocking the lights. :x Put them right back on when I got home.

Is that why you got rid of them because of the rubbing against the rear gate?

The gap isn't big enough.... maybe I will go Mopar plastic.

Rip,

Mmm. Those look pretty good. Where did you get them and may I ask how much they are?

Thx

I''ve got Rip's tail light guards on mine now. Took quite a bit of fiddling, but no rubbing on the gate. Bend the bracket a little, screw it on, open the gate, take it off, bend it some more, screw it on, open the gate, etc. etc. Gotta get it so the bracket fits flush against the inside edge of the tail light when the screws are tight. Harder than it sounds, but not impossible.
