So, I bought the KC light bar that is made for the wrangler. There has been some thought on how it would look and if it would fit. Well it doesn't fit with it facing forward because the light tabs are welded on the back pushing the bar too far forward. So I reversed it and the fit is good. Also the mounting holes line up perfectly where the "frame rails" are. For the people who have taken off their bumpers before I am referring to the two openings in the front of the bumper.

So I am just working on the best way to mount it and I am most likely going to tackle this project over the weekend. I also got some hella 500s to mount on it.

I took some preliminary pics, I will post later to give you an idea of what it looks like.

Which bar did you get?

After someone (name escapes me) here photoshopped a KC lightbar onto the front of my KJ, I bought the 2-light bar but have yet to install it. I also went with the KC HiLites 6" Ice Blue Driving SlimLite kit.

Yes, I have seen yours and I think it looks great! How did you mount it onto the bumper?

I like the lightbar. Do you like your roof rack and what brand is it?

that looks good, may need to find a way to hide the mounting bolts. Mine is a bit more low profile..

I do like the roof rack - it is made by Rola.

I will post more pictures when I get it mounted. still debating on the best way to do that.

It appears the newer bumper such as pictured on the '06 is narrower than the older bumpers like my '02. Although I haven't mounted my bar yet, it will fit with the KC logo facing out and the tabs towards the rear. Either way, the bar is a great look!

I tried it on mine with the logo to the front and it does not fit. There isn't enough room on mine. I don't care about the logo though and I actually really like how the lights come off the bumper with the tabs in front.
