My local 4wheelpart store recommended this setup over any on the market!

If you didn't post this as a joke ( see exclamation point ) well....

If a 4x shop did recommend a RK lift, I'd suggest they stick to selling bling and stick-on LED turn signals & leave the real stuff to anyone else in the area. Precision Tune would be a step up. :D

I think the member ended up doing a SFA to fix his rig. Tons of other posts regarding the same issue.

Does anyone else too think Maddawg's avatar shot is taken in jail? :D

Anyway, please read the sticky on lifts...

Anything other then what's in there may look tempting but you'll regret it later..

I know.

well your shop can think that but have they actually worked on a Liberty? or wheeled a Liberty or have they even installed a lift on a KJ? if not I wouldnt trust them

if you look at evryones sig and see what lift they are running I would be willing to bet that 95% are OME, and thats including the Franenlift people b/c it uses OME coils b/c they are the best

I know at times, it may sound like most everyone on LOST is stuck on stupid about OME, OME, OME. But guess what?.... OME works and keeps on working!

Granted, there are some other halfway decent lift kits out there, but for the prices they are asking, just spend a little more and go with what works.

I know I get critized about saying it all the time but you are so right Nick , we don't have a lot of "good" choices, but then if you read other forums you will see that OMEs are respected there as well so guess what OME all the way

I don't think anyone disputes OME quality. It just comes down to how much you can afford to spend, and how you intend to drive your lifted Liberty.

Here's a link to my experience with Rusty's strut spacer lift (OTT). Keep in mind, I'm just an anomaly, everyone else's Liberty lifted this way is guarenteed to disintegrate within 4k miles with this same lift!

http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=33634&highlight=

I've got 18k miles with it so far and I wish my front struts would blow out so I can install some Bilsteins...but the extended bumpstops prevent it from happening....I might have to get those 1/4" plates to stack on top of the strut to get a full 3" so I can finally blow up my OE struts.

JAIL yeah they let people dress up as US MARINES in the local jail all the time!!!!

yeah i called 4wheelparts and the guy tells me that he sells the OME but it's only a 1.5" lift we argued i said well man what do you recomend and he told me that other place. I'll probably end up getting a OME from ok4wd i'm trying to find local parts so i can save on shipping but i don't want junk either

He probably only has the soft springs. You need atleast medium duty springs. Most people go heavy duty.

Rock Krawler stinks. Since that 4WheelParts store said what they said, I would avoid them at all costs or at least the rep that works there. Obviously, this person does not know anything about a KJ and the lifts out there.

I would even recommend Rocky Road OVER Rock Krawler and I don't like Rocky Road.

I bought my Daystar kit from the local 4 Wheel Parts store. They actually told me that it was better than some of the more expensive kits that they offered. I guess it just depends on if you talk to an honest sales guy who wants your happy return business, or the money hungry sales guy that wants to selll you more later to fix the problems they initiate from a poor recommendation.

listen maddawg... if your talking about the 4wheelparts on glenwood ave, those guys dont know anything about the liberty. i went up there to ask them if they could get a lift for the liberty just to do some price comparisons and that is the lift that they recommended and they said they could get the ome lift also but that was it. they said those were the only two lifts on the market for the liberty. they dont know what they are talking about.... rustys, frankinlift, daystar, skyjacker....... the point is, i would avoid them at all costs and same with we do trucks on south saunders rd.
oh, and when you get a lift and need the wheels/tires for it, come see me at the just tires at beaver creek. im the assistant manager, i'll hook you up.
