so i did a search and came up with nothing on how to wire this thing up. i have everything that i need for the wiring, just need to know where to plug in if i can or do i have to wire it all up from the front. mine did not come with the tow package, so im guessing that i have wire it up from the front. or if someone has a diagram that i can refer to that would help also.

what kind of plug did you get? I got one from etrailer its just plug and play, take the taillights out, plug this in and good to go! no need to wire from the front unless you are doing brakes ???

The one I bought hooked up to both tail lights, It was really easy to do, just make sure you put something on the plastic of the bumper so you don't scratch it up (like I did on the driverside!)

The one I got plugs into the stock wiring harness behind the panel in the cargo area. It requires that you run a 12V+ wire to the battery and also ground it so it does not use any power from the Jeeps brake lights, park lights, etc. I also wanted the extra 12V wire so I can charge the battery on our camper while going down the road.

Got it from Etrailer.com, they have instructions on their website I do believe.

not for nothing but why just not go to the Stealership and buy the module, even if your KJ did not come with the tow package once you get the module its plug and play, passenger side rear cargo area, no need to cut or splice any wires. its about 60 bucks.

As LIV42Dy said , you better get this wiring harness from MOPAR. It is gonna take you30 min.to install.
And it is pretty neat, it come with everything (connectors,tie-rap and Instruction)
by th way when you say < WHALA....>. you better write it like this < Voilà> it's a FRENCH word ,pronouncing the same way.
Wishing you all A MERRY CHRISTMAS.

You can get a T-one connector does the same thing, same install for quite a bit less, that's what I put on mine.
