We left the campsite just after 1pm because it was looking as though rain was imminent, although in fact we didn’t get any significant rain until we got past Warwick. The track out was steep and rocky for the first 10km from the camp – all low range stuff, particularly for me with the trailer on the back, and we didn’t want to risk it getting “slippery when wet”! It took us an hour and a quarter to do the 20km back to the park gate.

Damage? None – we can’t count cmohr busting his right front shock as he said it had been bad for some time!

Here's our weekend track as recorded by OziExplorerCE.

Burrows is where we camped. We looked at Red Rock first: not a bad campsite but perched high up on the cliffs and we wanted a swimming hole! Reedy had very little water and no toilets, so we definitely picked the best one!

We thought on the way out that we had missed a track that we had considered was pretty bad on the way in: looking at the track log I can see that there were two places where we took different tracks, although from the log I can't determine which was which!

Looks like you guys had an awesome time!!! I would have loved to come! COntinuing with the introductions and seeing as know one is going to introduce the fellas on the tree..... 1st pic is Varanus varius and the 2nd pic is Varanus panoptes (i think...not suer without seeing the size) I love these guys they are awesome!!!

Since we hadn't been introduced we didn't know their proper names - we just called the second one "Desert Storm".
