My next purchase maybe for trail only tires

Like the looks of the Extra Grip a lot and for 65 each very cheap

used to have a set something like the Extra Grips on a 2 wheel drive 53 International Pickup and it would go anywhere

these would work maybe for 63 bucks each

throw them on a set of old stock steel wheels and go out and tear up the mud!

2nd adds 245/75/16

Heard of them before back a few years ago before internet, my cousin used to own a retread shop ( worked there summers in high school) and he had talked about them before. They were a pretty good sized operation I think

As soon as I get the money I'll be getting a trail only tires also,though my selection is a little better.

Maxxis Creepy Crawler comp tires

Wheels.........
Hutchinson double internal beadlocks(in flat black)

Now to save up the $5000 for them :twisted:

price is high but look at what you will have , those wheels are the best in my book, will look killer in black!

I have to get out of Ohio where you have to drive 5/6 hours or more even to get to a little hole in the wall off road park, then I can get cool wheels / tires ....SFA :twisted:

Ahhh, the creepy crawlers. Possibly the best off road tire out there, nice wheels too. There are a lot of good beadlocks out there to choose from too.

The Hutchinson beadlocks are DOT approved,balance-able,and a double internal beadlock rim(both beads held,not just the outside one).No other bead lock rim has those features,plus no trips to the tire store for mounting.The only other close are the stuans but to much hassle for leaky tires.

Why get a DOT approved wheel if its for trail only. Seems like a waste of money.

The Hutchinsons don't protect your hubs as well as other beadlocks out there. Which isn't that big of a deal because the ones that really do can be a pain to get on and off a jeep. Aren't the AEV beadlocks DOT approved too?

I prefer these myself because they are as close as I can find to be a good compromise of everything, but I'd be happy with either.

you will blow that tire out at 15psi

Not on the trail where you are going only 5mph at most,yes at highway speeds but there is that little thing called "airing down" and "airing up" when you go on trail runs.

Remember this is a tread for "trail only" tires and not "everyday" tires.

Yes will only be trail use only no highway
well maybe short 5 miles or something but thats all. haul them in and change them and go
want tall and skinny so no flare popping

My g-friend bought some Threadwright tires and they aren’t bad at all for daily driving. But then again the Stone tires might not actually be made for daily driving.
I couldn’t see myself buying an additional set of tires for trails only, unless I had a true off road vehicle (with SFA). Not knocking on the Liberty.

But that is one heck of a deal for tires.
