I have an '03 KJ w/72,000 miles. A year or so ago, it intermittently began making a weird sloshing sound when accelerrating from a stop. My wife uses the KJ as a daily driver, and she reports the noise now when taking hard turns. I thought the noise was the contents of the glove compartment rattling around, the the noise persists with an empty glove box. Any idea what's causing this? It seems to happen 90% of the time now, and it's really annoying.

Sounds like maybe a problem with a clogged AC drain. Normally if you're running the AC, you should be able to see water dripping out underneath the engine bay. (The AC is on automatically when your defroster is on). If you're not getting any drips underneath, that's a good place to start.

Is the gas tank full when you hear the sloshing sounds?

Half full tank of gas can "slosh" loudly.

Check the level of anti-freeze.

Does anyone have a picture of where this drain is located? Not sure where to look.

It's just next to the airco round metal coloured thingy (at least in the CRD) you can see it when you crawl underneath and look up towards it, it is a bit of pipe opening up to the bottom.
you can clean it bit of wire.

check also the carpet as it wil be wet when the drain is blocked.

Pics were posted in another thread recently, you might find it on a search. But the drain sticks out of the firewall on the passenger side. And like Jeepjeepster said, check your coolant level too. If it's low it can make the noise you're describing. If it is low, better check your radiator. You're about due for the hairline crack that everyone seems to get eventually.
