Just made the deal this evening and will be picking it up tomorrow...it's a 1974 CJ5 with a 304 V8 and 3 speed manual transmission. Spent a good hour looking it over and driving it. It is one of the more solid CJ's we have looked at. Paid $2400 and the wife and I are jazzed. Slapped some new tires on it today and shot some pictures...

Always had a thing for the CJs...really hope I can own one in the next few years. Really hate it when I see someone chop one up.

As the wife calls it...it's "money" (as in the green on bills). Not all that shiny but at least I won't cring with the "pin striping" like I did with the KJ

set of headers and Purple Hornie mufflers and good to go!

One of the plus's is the trans has been rebuilt in the last 6 months...had receipt, warranty and all. It drove and shifted great. It runs like a top.

Nope, I want to let the KJ sit some to keep the miles down while it is for sale. The CJ will help with that and we can go wheelin', too! Just got to get a set of MT's on the 'ol girl and we're good to go.

nice now all you have to do is just make the wheel base about 14" longer, keep the V8, add some more roll bars and you have a real rock crawler!!!!!
