 Post subject: 225-75-16 to 235-70-16???

if i was to go to the 235-70-16 tire from the size i currently have which is 225-75-16 would it hurt my gas mileage much???

I just went from a 225/75 to a 235/70 their still street tires (not getting my mudders until i get the lift) but i can't tell any change at all in gas mileage. I think even with a lift going from 235/70 to 245/75 you won't see that much of a change, though that will also depend on how aggressive your tread is on pavement.

No change at all.
I went from 225/75 to 245/75 and had a slight drop. Then I went down to 235/70 and I had a slight gain again

In most brands, 235/70s are roughly 1/2" smaller in diameter than 225/75s - not enough to really notice, but depends how anal you are.

But as was said, they are both sizes that are available from the factory, so you wont run in to any other problems.
