Well, we finally made the decision to keep Millie (Millard Caravan)and treat her to some refurbishment beginning with major surgery to her under-carrage ready to take on our up coming expedition to Ceduna S.A. via Broken Hill approx 2400Kms and return via Flinders Ranges & innamincka approx 2650Kms, over the Xmas new year break.

The works included refurbished leaf springs, new axle (under mounted)and hubs, bearings and New disc brakes. Added to this a set of 245 x 75 BF Goodrich ATs and spare on 15" white king rims from the local Gold Coast 4wd wreckers. This equates to an extra 7" of clearance that I hope will allow her to access those camping spots previously unexcessible because of ground height clearance.

Speaking of ground clearance, the existing cornner stabilisers are now too short on full extension without a few blocks to take up the gap

It will be interesting to see how or if she tows any differently or fuel economy changes (more or less or the same as previous)

She continues to be a works in progress for Team J.a.G and we are enjoying the process (so far)

I now have excess parts to dispose/sell/swop of as follows:

1 x axle with drum brakes on 5 stud holden hubs

3 x 14" steel wheels & 195 x 70 tyres (tryes have approx 60-70% tread)

5 x 16" KJ LTD Alloy rims( excellent Condition)
1 x HT 16x245x70 tyre
4 x Maxxis AT 245x 70 x 16 tyres with 50-60% tread

Plus 1 x KJ Fuel tank (no longer required)
1 x KJ engine skid plate (unused)

Do you have one of those offroad hitch joints, the one's that let the trailer tilt from side to side along with up and down?

Oh right, I forget that in your parts a camp trailer is called a 'caravan'. Looks like it's about ready for a shakedown after the refurb.
