Let's just say It's MINE!

(I installed the Mag light in the JK just like we all did in the KJ. Looks great!)

Glad to see you made it your own right away! Hate those people who are afraid to drill into a new one !

The MOPAR bumper is nice. Eventually I may add a winch, but I have a lot more things to spend $1k on before I get there. I never wheel alone, so a winch is a luxory item in my mind.

I didn't get a rear bumper yet, but it's on my list.

Mods done the first weekend:
- ALLGIG unit to unlock all features on the MYGIG Nav, Uconnect, DVD, etc.
- debadged (hate those stock stickers on the front fenders, and I don't need to stinking "trail rated" badge! It's a Rubicon for goodness sake. Saying trail rated is redundant!)
- Maglight mounted
- Fire extinguisher mounted
- Grab handles mounted. New ones on order for back seat mod (there's a cool mod on them from Project-JK)
- Waxed
- Set tire psi down from 40psi to 37psi.
- copied about 6 CD's to my hard drive!

Ordered:
- Husky floor liners
- Clover window roll up bag

Plan to order:
- EVAP can relocation kit (whoever put that there should be fired!)
- front skid (under bumper)
- engine skid (How can they not provide one?)
- front and rear diff guards
- steering stabilizer relocation kit
- CB antenna

Next year:
- lift kit
- rear bumper

Any plans for an interesting CB antenna mod?

Adam, that Trail Rated badge is for all those Yuppies that buy one and only drive it around the downtown areas and never take it off road. They have to have that reminder that it can go off-road and that the other SUV road queens crusing downtown that it can do (but never will) do something their SUV can't do. That's a lot of do do in that sentence....LOL!

Ok, fat has been trimmed. Not sure about Sir Sam's post and what he was leading to with his post. Thread much leaner and cleaner lines for a showroom finish.

The CB antenna mount situation, like EVERYTHING else for a Wrangler v. Liberty, is a matter of buying the kit you want! There's a full kit to install the antenna in the license plate assembly (really slick) or I can simply buy a $20 bracket/mount that boults to the tailgate spare tire mount. And because the tailgate must open BEFORE the glass can open in a JK (another difference to the KJ) it won't interfere with operation.

So no need to do the custom work we did on the KJ.

My biggest problem now is selecting WHICH (bumper, lift, mount, skid, etc, etc) I want to buy!

I used that kit on my father-in-laws JK and it worked great. He loves it.
THere is a write up about it in the Wrangler section.

See the headaches you are going to have now that you have too many choices? Think of the Devo song "Freedom of Choice"....."is what you've got, freedom from choice is what you want......there was a dog, who had two bones, he licked the one, he licked the other, he went round in circles until he dropped dead...."

Wow! I remembered those lyrics without wearing my energy dome!

Good luck with the choices. I see more and more Wranglers with the KO's on them and those tires just look so good on them. I think my next choice will be those for the KJ. The sky's the limit for lifts.....compared to KJ's.

I've got to admit I really like the 4dr JK but it's just not practicle to change over as the KJ is fine and doing it's job.

Next year is next month... all 12 months long. I was thinking I'd wheel with it stock for a season before lifting it. We'll see how long that lasts!

Diesel: well, they keep teasing us about them. But then again, with the added cost of buying one, and the fact that Chrysler excludes them in their lifetime warranty, I figure I'm better off with the gaser.
