I would be interested in the LD if it came with the attachments & accesories (tire carrier, Hilift jack etc...).
No provisions for either carrier, only the HD bumber has those.

It probably wouldn't be strong enough to hold those.

Tokyojoe is right, the reason why the HD bumper is HD is because it is designed to handle the extra weight of the carriers. There’s a lot of torque on those spindles. RL accommodated for those who do not want the carriers by offering the LD as an option. Heck, if you “KNOW” for a fact that you “DO NOT” and WOULD NOT” want the carriers and hitch receiver, then I would “JUMP” on the introductory price for the LD bumpers, that’s a great deal.

Can one order it without the shackles? Meaning without the 2 things sticking out? (probably illegal over in Europe due to pedestrian safety bleblabla)

Since it's class III and IV US hitch compatible my Euro hitch will probably just peep out from under the RL bumper so that's good and then I would have a recovery point right there.

I really like the HD but i would prefer to make a longer tire carrier so i can attach both the tire and the hilift/fuel can to one piece and open only one carrier to open the door like this one (standard in nissans terrano),

Obviously I can't afford the shipping to Chile, may be it is more than the price of the bumper.

You better order now, by the time he gets to your bumper, it could be MAY. Seriously, if RL averages one bumper every two weeks, then you’re looking at 5 months of wait time if you’re number 10 on the list. Right now, you can get early on the list.

If you order now and its going to be May for delivery do you have to pay now? Just wondering.

I could be way off here, but I think the whole point of the “introductory price” is for those who pay NOW. I really do not know what his “payment” requirements are. I paid $1,700 in full when I put my name in the hat. I don’t know, but I assume that RL has a lot of people who say, “Oh, I want one of those bumpers, and I’ll take those cool sliders, oh yes, and I just have to have one of those gecko baskets, so please put my name down because I’m dieing to have one…………..oh, and can you hurry, I really need them before Moab!” Then once the part is built, boxed for shipping, and RL is ready to collect payment, those same people say, “Oh man, I don’t have the money, my dog ate my check, my girlfriend with the good paying job left me, I just bought new tires, I traded in my Jeep, etc, etc, etc.” So, my thought is this, those who PAY get their name moved up on the list to separate themselves from those who talk the talk but don’t walk the walk. 8) My thoughts might not be a reflection of what RL believes, but that’s how I do business. :D

PLUS……… RL buys his metal in bulk to reduce customer cost. SO, the more people who can cough up their funds, the more metal that can be bought in bulk, thus reducing shipping costs, thus reducing down time, and hopefully passing the savings down to the rest of us. In my opinion, pay up front if you got the funds. If you don’t have the funds, then save up or ask RL if you can put down a “healthy” deposit to hold your spot. :D
