THEY'RE CANVAS NOW??? (he says as he runs out to the garage)

You mean the older ones aren't canvas? I love my OD canvas manual holder (with the little Jeep patch). I just wish it fit into the glove box. Oh well (shrug), there's enough room under the seat for it.

You do know there's a slot at the top of the glove box for manuals, right?

I have my manuals in that slot, but there's no room for that one smaller size, but real thick manual... forget which one is which.

Whoever came up with the design for that glove box should be given a medal. The only thing that will fit into it are my thoughts. The Canvas owners manual was clever though. So do you guys not have a light in the back at all or is it over the cargo area?

I remember it took me a few weeks, after I got my KJ, before I discovered the slot in the glove box.

Adam you rule!!! I had no idea that little slot thingy was there (from my angle it's hiding behind the dash OS handle). Dog Wagon manual is now in secure location. THANKS!!!

Aww, shuks. Thanks.

I don't remember why or how I saw mine, but I had no problem finding it. I am always amazed at how many people don't know that slot is there. And yes, it should be standard on every car made, just like BRAKES are!

My MPV has a cool little drawer that comes out under the front pass seat for the manual. It's even cooler than out slot! Slides out and reveals a very nice pleather folder with all the goodies inside. Very nice. But this one you can definitely miss if you're not shown where it is!

We just have the one by the very back, flipper glass area. Leaves the back seat area very dark. Tough with kids!

Cool, had my 06 a little over a month now...had no idea that slot in the glove box was there! I've been keeping my OD green manual case in the door sleeve....and the ESP...that thing is awesome...we've had a ton of snow and ice storms here in the last couple of weeks and that ESP has saved my A** a few times, and if your on ice it stops the whole wheel system from spinning...its great...it just makes this weird noise when it activates though, according to the manual its supposed to...oh well

Yeah, I had to wedge it in, but the canvas one fits in that spot like a very snug glove. So since we're sharing here, you guys know that your sunvisors extend right?

If I were you, I'd have "traded" the climate controls. ;)

While I like the idea of a separate AC button, the controls on the 2006 seems a bit cheaper in terms of feel. Maybe i'm just used to what I gots.

I think shipping on that sale is based on your zip code. It would have been $5 to ship to Indiana.

It's a weird size. I like my plastic pouch because it's like the Mercedes ones where you can see what service is next without opening the book, so I'm keeping that. I thought I'd use this new pouch for something like my warranty info, but it's not 8" wide. I can put some of my first aid stuff in there but then it'll just get tossed in the back never to be seen again.

I need some ideas.

It's also too big and bulky for the glove box. I tried putting my tire gauge in there, but the pouch wouldn't really fit in that way.

I got one of those new owners manuals with my 2006 Unlimited. Kind of an expensive way to get one. Joe
