Jeep Skool Dec. 6th. overview.

Beautiful day for wheeling, left home in the dark with the temp at 17 degrees, but that didn't stop 40 rigs of all classes from showing up at Jeep Skool! It started snowing around noon with the high topping out at 24 degrees.

Attending LOST members that showed:
Alex and his dad (Keith) showed up in Dad's Rubicon.
Dave (hatu) in his first time out stock Rubi with new winch. Yeah, he even got to use it on me and a Wrangler.
Raymond with his KJ.
A newbie LOST (Brick) in stock KJ. The guy had balls to be out there on a day like that!

Airing up after the run I had to get a pair of pliars out to remove the frozen iced over valve stem caps and then urinate on one of my valve stems to get it to close.... That was a first!

Getting back home in the snow and dark on 480 W. was slow going with many flashing blue, red, and ambers lights along the way.

Alex, what was the outcome of Deer Run trail? I walked up and saw Rodney pulling the stock KJ backwards, so Dave (hatu) and I got turned around thinking you guys would have to come back out. When I got near the entrance, Harley Jeeplady was sittting in the middle of the hole you and your Dad started to come though. I had to winch her out, then Ramcharger Bill showed up and said the roads wear getting really bad. So Dave and I decided to leave before it got totally dark.

Considering "Deer Run" trail was supposed to be a "Stocker" trail, it apparently ate up a lot of modified rigs through out the day from what I read on the Jeep Skool site.

as far as the deer trail.. rodney (who was pulling him backwards) ended up winching himself out of the ruts to get around the KJ and then pull'em through the rest of the trail... as we progressed we came across a trail guide.. i think "badsparky" or something like that.. who was real burried after getting one guy unstuck then trying for another.. and that did him in... then rodney tried to winch badsparky out and got pulled into the same hole. so robocon tied his JK to a tree and snatch blocked rodney's jeep and ran the line back to his JK and pulled out both rodney and badsparky (who he had attached via rodney's winch)..

then robocon led us down a few dead ends.. so we all turned around twice and eventually came out past jeep swallow.. and then we headed home.

over all very good day!!! we didnt get stuck luckily but had to get a lot of tugs.

Wow, sounds like quite a winch fest went on. Alex, I hope you got pictures of all that!
Days like that make lasting memroies, good or bad.

Eight days now, and still trying to get bugs out of the puter.

Hey guys...good time Saturday. Good to see you guys again and meet new friends. Ray had to pull me back off that first 'little' obstacle... :oops:

Got some new tree rash. Other than that, a lot of fun....

Took my son out again today for a couple of hours. Raymond was out there too. Shot some 22's with them, but bitter cold in that wind. :shock:

omg nick, you had to pee on your valvestem hahaha thats funny :lol:

on my friends grand cherokee, we tried using a lighter to get the valvestem covers off, but the wind kept blowing it out, but he ended up just using pliers

yea this weekend was fun! had a few LOST guys there! saturday, after following harleyjeeplady, she broke through the ice which was 2-3" thick, i came second, after i got halfway, she jumps out waving her arms "nono dont go through, go around!" but i was already halfway through so i finished driving through that deep water, through the huge chunks of ice, cracking my flare and breaking my left foglight mount, actual foglight seems ok though!

overall had a great time, came back sunday for a few hours with my friend, except one minor incident lol

didnt do a darn thing to his house, put a small black scuff on the rock from my bumper plastic under the paint

thanks for letting me shoot the .22! and nick for letting me shoot his last time, or the time before!

1. driving through deep water on saturday with 2-3" of ice chunks breaking a fender flare and breaking the foglight mount 0$(getting arb bumper, so flare gets cut off well above there anyways)

2. having a goodtime at jeepskool with everybody 0$

3. sliding down your friends driveway to pick him up sunday morning, hitting the house and scraping up the bumper and breaking the turn signal, PRICELESS! except the cost of a new turnsignal hehe

hahahah darn steep driveways

i was only there for a few hours on sunday, i got there around noon. but it was prety good! pretty good turnout, a lot of the water was 10" higher than it was on saturday cuz of all the snow haha. afternoon, it was sunny and turned to be a very nice day! other than me running into my friends house with my jeep :oops:

yup.. that's what i was talking about! ahahha it was pretty fun.. and you could have def. made it up to and through that point. it was easier to go through the water ruts than the bipass. like i said.. robocon ended up saving both XJ's
