I do not see the Long Trail TOUR on there...the Long Trail TA is not the same tire.

And HOLY CRAP I didn't realize the freakin Destination AT was that expensive! Screw that!

Save a few bucks per tire and get the better-for-your-purposes choice.

..Well, I still vote for the Destination ATs. I researched tires for over a year before getting them, and am glad they were the choice I made. I resisted the temptation to get a more aggressive AT for tires that will see about 95% paved road usage, and because after I lift my Jeep I will be getting a set of MTs on one of my spare sets of rims.
WNY weather can vary greatly, and I wanted something that would handle my stupidity through whatever mother nature can dish out. ..I could easily get another 30k out of the stock RS-As, but I dont trust them.
..Then again, I have always had good luck with Firestones, so I may be a bit biased, and the Destination ATs have performed better than any BFGs, Goodyears, Kumhos, or other off-brands I have run in the past.

..I forgot where I was going with this, but get the Destination ATs. They may cost a bit more, but you dont want to go cheap on tires, and you wont regret it.

(I paid a hair over $700 for five in 235/75-16, mounted and balanced, with roadhazard, FWIW)

..I need to go buy stuff now..

Lots of good information from all of you guys!!!! Thanks so much. Still not 100% sure which tire to go with. Like I said, I like a more rugged looking tire (then the OEM Goodyears), and at the same time want it to be pretty quiet and smooth. I know, the more aggressive looking the tire the more noisy and rougher riding. I'm trying to find the best of both worlds :?

Destination AT. Fairly rugged-looking, and virtually silent on the road. Check Tirerack.com for pictures of the tread.

Got them not long ago (a few weeks), but since then we've gotten ice, rain, sleet, snow and that fun mix of freezing rain/snow. These tires have been phenomenal - I haven't had to put it in 4-hi yet, and the KJ has handled itself wonderfully (especially when compared to the stock Goodyears!). I definitely recommend them, plus they offer a 30 day test drive, so if you don't like them, they can swap them back out (just hang on to your old tires, or be ready to buy others if you don't like the Destination ATs).

You've got my vote on the Dest. A/T's. I've had them since April and couldn't be happier with them. Had a bit of snow here this weekend and they performed great. I got 5 of them (245/70/16) put on Moab's $135.00 per tire, mounted/balanced with road hazard. I lost a bit of city mileage but it was caused more by the heavier wheel. Tread wear has been awesome as well as ride quality.

silverfox.... i work for goodyear as an assistant manager and would recommend the destination at over the wrangler sra if your looking for a more aggressive all terrain. they last longer also but are a bit louder if not properly taken care of. rotate every 5-8k miles and align if needed once a year. they are a high maintenance tire.

I put five on the jeep this past summer for $725 mounted, balanced, and road hazard. Got the 245/70/16 and absolutely love them....i got to try them out in the sleet/snow yesterday and didn't have any problems. go for it!
