Looking for feedback on anyone running the Daystar2 inch spacer lift. I'm thinking on getting it installed but not sure on how it rides on and off road. I know that a full coil lift would be better, but it might be overkill for the amount of fourwheeling that I do.

I have the Daystar 2.5" and have been funning that for about 2 years now with no complaints. I would recommend replacing the shocks and struts when you do this though. The stock shocks and struts do not handle the bumps as well. I'm talking pot holes not even the 4 wheeling bumps. Much better ride then stock with the lift and new Rancho shocks, in my opinion.
For the money, you can't beat it.

Is the 2.5 still a spacer lift, or is this a coil lift?

I just had the 2.5 Daystar spacer lift installed a week ago. Probably not the long term view you were hoping for, but I love it so far. The little bit of height really gave it an agressive look with 245/75/16's and Rubi wheels.

Some trimming is required not to rub excessively, but I do not have any complaints about the lift.

To find out how much trimming is involved I would suggest doing a quick search on "lift + trimming" in the forums. There is some really good info out there with pics. I had to have a little cut from the front of the front wheel wells, and the Pinch Seam bent over on the rear of the front wheel well. Looks great, still rubs a little, but I have a set of GY MTRs so that's to be expected.

Mine is the daystar 1.5 front / 2.0 rear spacer lift with stock shocks and struts. I've ran it for about 2 years now. It rides a little stiffer that it did stock, but not what I'd call harsh.

The only down side is the spacers take up some of the travel in the front coils so if I hit a good sized dip or sudden rise in the road at speed I can feel it trying to bottom out on me.

My plans are to put the EMU 2 inch springs and Rancho struts up front and leave the spacers in the rear, maybe new shocks in the rear later.

It does a fine job though for what it costs.
