So last night we had a couple inches of snow. This morning I went outside, started up the KK, flipped on the windshield wipers to clear the window of a few inches of snow, and turned on the defrost. Well to my surprise the defrost started spitting out a crapload of snow. I mean a little bit of powder I can understand. Okay no problem, but it literally turned the inside of my jeep white. I was sitting there spitting out powder trying to figure what the heck. Now I'm curious if anyone else has had a similar experience like this with their KK's?

Oh that's what those snow cone cups were for when I bought it in June! Golly jeeze it all makes sense now. If only I could remember where I put the damned things...

I have had that happen with one other vehicle before and the dealer said it had to do with the humidity inside the vehicle when I parked it. The moisture was drawn to the heat that was dissipating from the vents and formed frost inside. Then in the morning I would start the car and crank on the fan and WHOOSH a nice shot of snow right in the face (better than coffee to wake you up  ). They told me to run the defroster for several minutes before turning the car off (since it runs the A/C which is acts as a dehumidifier). I did as I was told and it worked. I just got in the habit of switching to defrost on the way home at night (I usually had it on the heater setting).

I have NO IDEA if this is a similar situation but its there FWIW.

Yeah I know exactly what you mean about running the defrost to dehumidify the thing. In fact I was running it last night all the way home before I parked. (Although when I park it, I typically switch everything off and wait till I hear the vents close before turning the engine off.) I'm waiting on the dealership to call me back so I can schedule a time to take it in and have it looked at. I want to make sure that nothing is effed up so to speak.

Must have been an aftermarket slushy machine since libbys sport dont have the option to add premium group II

just because i woke up with 6 inches of snow on the ground and 2 foot worth of a drift on top of the kk this morning doesn't mean you have to rub it in

at least i didn't get shot in the face

What, would I do that? Actually when I went out this morning it was so cold I had to throw a second layer on - I bet it was down into the high 40s...

OK, back to topic.

It's 9F here at the moment, and tomorrow's HIGH is only -8F. And this isn't even the cold season yet!

Ah, it's true... snow is a frigid mistress! ;) But if it wasn't for snow there wouldn't be much need for a Jeep in a city on the prairies...

Meh, the jeep kinda helps out a lot around town (and the harvested corn fields with snow drifts!). Only thing I don't care too much for is getting the money shot from the snow first thing in the morning, and the ESP causing me to fish tail like crazy. Fortunately I only have to suffer through it for another few weeks. Being sent to Fort Jackson for a bit where it's nice and cozy.

I don't know why the ESP would be causing you to fish tail. If anything, it should stop you from fish tailing - at least that's certainly been my experience. I've found the ESP to vbe very effective. I've also never gotten snow thrown in my face either and my Jeep is parked outside and I live in Denver where we've had snow a few times already this winter... Odd indeed.
