Anyone know where the PCV valve is located on the '07's?

It's no longer in the side of the oil filler tube as it was in earlier years.

Just follow the vacuum line from your throttle body and you will hit the PCV valve.

OK. I feel a little like an idiot. I know what I am looking for, and I can't even find it. The only thing I see when I follow the vacuum line is this:

But the PCV valve that the parts store gave me is this:

And the Chilton's says (and shows) that it is on the oil fill tube for the 02-04 models. It isn't there on the 07's.

Is the one in the first pic it?

That is a picture of the brake booster.

Seems they have you the correct PCV though. Guess they took it off or moved it on the 07's.. :?

It'll be on one of the valve covers. Look there...

Yeah, I knew that was for the brakes, I just can't find any other hoses that size under there.

Looked there. Didn't see anything. I know I must be looking right at it. I feel like a real doof! I will look under there again tomorrow. Someone else with an 05-07 go take a look at your and tell me what you see...

long_tall_Texan, from my understanding, our 2007 was the change over year for the KK. I think we have nearly the same engine set-up as what the KK has. Meaning, our 2007 is not exactly the same as the 05-06 models.

Just had to post this to prove that I am not crazy. Nothing there on the oil filler.

There IS a PCV-ish foam filter in the airbox with a hose attached. Followed that hose and it just leads to a steel hose fitting on the engine. No valve there. THis is crazy.

If this is true, maybe it is that same as the KKs. Any of you KK owners know where your PCV Valve is?

I had another brilliant idea. Look on the 2007 KJ parts fiche. Guess what. It says it is on the oil filler tube. Supposed to be item 4 below.

The PCV valve is threaded into a metal fitting. The valve (2) is located at the rear of the left cylinder head.

So is it the one with the hose clamp around it?

Got it. The red-ish colored plastic thing on the driver's side back close to the fire wall. Looks like I will have to go back to parts store and ask for 08-09 Liberty PCV since even the Jeep Parts fiche shows the same one as the all of the other KJs.

was there a mid year change in the engine on the 07's? Possibly changing up to the 08 style? Seems odd that 07 documentation looks just like my 05.

It would be interesting to see if there is anyone on here that has an 07 with the PCV on the Oil Filler like the documentation.

LTT, send me your "wrong" PCV...

I'd cover the cost even.

Have you bought or replaced yours? If so, is the dealer the only place to get one? I have checked AutoZone, Oreilly's, and Napa with no luck...
