Get a master install kit also. Why a new cover?

I would highly recommend having a good 4x4 shop do the ring and pinion install. Setting up gears correctly takes a good bit of know-how and practice, not to mention very precise measuring. If you're planning on doing several more re-gears down the road it's probably cost-effective to get some expert assistance, buy the necessary tools, and learn how to do it yourself. But, if this is a one-off, save yourself some headache and money and have a good shop do it.

where do y'all find these places for so cheap. It calls for 5.7 labor hours to replace the gears and that doesn't even include the whole install kit.

when I was calling around for my DL install they were all saying 6 hours for an install which would be removing the gears and installing them again, so mosy places will charge you for 6 hours, but I got a good deal bc he also did my steering rack, DTT and I just made friends with him so he's a little more willing to haggle with me

try haggling a little they will usually come down
