well, the lib's not starting again. originally it was parked in my barn, where it happend the first time. i would start it, then run fine for 5 seconds and die no matter how much gas i gave it. after about 3 times, it locked me out completely, where the starter wouldnt even engage. i rolled it about 30 ft from the barn, and it fired right up. which led me to beleive it was the new remote control, motion lights interfering with the transponder now, 3 days later its parked in my drive about 200 ft away from the barn, and its at it again. but now that its out of range of the lights, im clueless. any help guys? btw its a 2006, 3.7, 4x4, with 20,000 miles. and no mods (other than the painted grille and debadged)

these pictures are with the key on accesory.

my first thought is check the battery under load - it has to have enough voltage to turn on the computer - cranking the engine means nothing without the computer.

however the 3 times and locked out - sounds like you don't have the computer agreed upon key - i.e. was this a spare key that's been cut - but not had the codes matched?
The key programming is in the manual - but you have to have 2 good keys to program the third.

I go with check battery terminals. The movement could have jolted the terminals enough to get a good connection. Check for corrosion and tightness.

Owners manual - check the slot behind the glove box door but above the box - it's just for the manual and is not obvious

however if that's not there - download PDF at Jeep
http://www.jeep.com/en/owners/manuals/index.html

and if it has a Salvage title - there's no warranty - but if they just fixed damage and it wasn't salvage - it may still have warranty

there is no manuel in the little slot, it is a salvage title, and it was not a a katrina salvage. it was t boned on the passenger side rear corner. i tried disconnecting for 5 minutes and it wouldnt turn over, i waited a second, tried again and it fired right up. but now it drives with the security light on... I tried putting a scanner on it but i didnt have the updated chrysler scanner for CAN-MODs. so no luck there.
