Snowing like the dickens and cold up here in Western NY lately. Probably have an honest 2 feet on the ground with drifts and banks much higher than that. Snowiest December before Christmas that I can remember in my 41 years. Take that Al Gore! On Saturday, I was cleaning the snow and ice off of my vehicle (AGAIN!) when I put my hand by the rear blade and cleaned the slush and snow that had accumulated on top out of there. Later that evening, I went to use the wiper and I plastic scraping glass! When I got to my destination, I looked at the arm and the blade was missing.

I haven't taken another look at that much, but there might have been a bracket holding the wiper blade in place that somehow broke or just let loose.

Anyone have a pic as to how the blade is attached inside of the rear wiper arm? Also having difficulty in finding a replacement that is non-dealer. Any help?

Thanks!

I was dinking around with mine the other day trying to clean ice off of it so that it would work decent enough. Looked like it just clips on to it, but there's no retaining clip or anything. There's just a little notch it clips into and that's supposed to keep it in place from what I've seen. Just curious, how much did the dealer want for it?

I have a post somewhere here where I lost mine within the first 500 miles at a car wash. The dealer immediately replaced it after he took a new one and it just snapped into place. His words were "design problem" I keep an eye on now.

Are they the same size as the KJs? I removed mine with less than 500 miles on it and put it up in the rafters of the garage, if it will work make me an offer!

Curious: Why'd you remove it?

hate rear wipers see no sense in them I just keep the rear glass waxed good all the time and never have anything on it. Also pet peeve seeing all these mini vans with the rear glass all scratched up due to the wipers
