I have a chance to get a set of 4 235 /75/15 general grabber at on 15 inch rims. Would these fit on the liberty without too much modification or do I need spacers to run 15 inch rims.

The tires will fit, in fact IIRC that is smaller than the stock size. The 15" wheels will fit if they are steel soft 8's with the proper backspacing. Steel Wagon Wheel style do not fit IIRC, and alloys will not.

3.75" BS, no rub.

Correction, actually I do get rub at full lock in reverse at the rear of the wheel well but I don't turn that sharp in reverse.

They are 15x8 as well.

I have 15" Black D's with 4" BS and they don't rub the caliper at all. I am running the same size tire (235/75R15) you are looking at too. I did rub the fenders a little before the lift. Probably could have gotten away with no trimming with 4.5" BS and a clevis lift only in the front, but I love it lifted.
