soooo we have about 2 miles of trials in the woods behind our house. so i decided it would be a good idea to go do some wheel'in with a few inches of snow at night. i called my buddy that has a toyota truck and we hit the trails.. nothing gave us any problems until i got to a hole that we buried our rubicon with 35's in earlier in the year. i figured. i have a winch might as well try it. so i do. make it as far as we did with the rubicon and get real stuck... front tires were almost gone and my bumper was resting on top of the mud

here is the rubicon after winching out of the same hole.

so i tree saver a tree and pull the winch cable out.. plug in the controller and.. dead. i check the battery.. check the connections under the winch, check them from winch to winch box.. nothing. still dead. absoulety frustrated i get my buddy to turn around (he had no tow points on front) and then i busted out my tow strap. which was too short. so then i busted out a chain.. and he got me out. after we get back down to the house i looked into the winch some more.. still couldnt figure it out. plug in the controller and it works?

it was upside down.

i plugged the controller in the winch box upside down and it wouldnt work. and it's A ROUND PLUG with 2 key ways.. and it can only go in 2 ways.. and upside down doesnt work .. but fits perfectly still. whoever designed that needs taken out.

no pics of in the hole since i didnt have my camera.. but here's some from after

Well at least you know now...... and at least you weren't out alone...

I think you should go get stuck.... and try it again.
