Anyone installed aftermarket seats in their rig yet. Looking at making that one of my next mods after the 60+ mile off-road trip through Anza-Borrego I just did this past weekend. Got an e-mail from Mastercraft saying they don't make anything specifically for the KJ "but to keep an eye out as they might be adding something soon." I sent a response back asking what that time frame might be so we'll see what they come back with, if anything.

Going to be taking measurements though with my buddies Wrangler and see what differences, if any, there might be in the specs of our seat configurations, so further details to come on that front...

Yea I just came across a Corbeau site and the LG1, A4, and TRS seats look good to me. Seems like you can get mounting brackets for both front seats at $99 a pop with the purchase of a seat. I'd probably add in the lumbar support for each seat too, so that is an additional $98. So it looks like I could spend just under $1300 (that includes $200 for shipping and $399 for each seat) for 2 new, and most likely more comfortable, front seats...

That's a lot of money to spend without knowing the result. Anyplace you can go and try them out? I agree the Liberty Seats are not made for long distances.

I thought about recovering them in leather and having the seat cover company change the padding around. I can do that for about $700.00 through a local friend who owns a Chevy dealership.
