I have a 05 Renegade that just rolled over 43k miles. I washed off the engine at the powerwash with low pressure and the next day the thing was running like a deisel. It shakes horribly and the engine lights flashes on and off and sometimes stas lit.But sometimes when i pull up to a red light it idles perfect.Afriend said it was a coil pack because he pulled one off and the idle stayed the same but when he pulled others off it ran even worse...If it is that how much are those? is it by any chance covered by the powertrain warranty? Thanks for your help

I haven't had to replace one on mine. But others have. About $30 each and I think you can get a quality one at Napa. Not sure if that is covered under the powertrain warranty.

Oh. And welcome to LOST!

First place to start would be to pull the codes. Some water could of gotten down around one of the coils causing it to ground out.

First time I sprayed my engine off the temp sensor got wet and threw a code. Waited a few days and cleared the code, never came back. Unplugged the sensor to make sure it was nice and dry, all was well.

What JSC said.

Also, don't drive the Jeep if the CEL is flashing. Flashing CEL=you're in danger of burning up 1 or more catalytic converters. And they are not cheap.
