how about if the CEL is consistently intermitent?? such as when the CEL stays on for three consecutive starts then goes out on the forth then on again during that run or some other run and so on.... And why would ANY engineer put a MAP sensor so close downstream of a exhaust gas regurgitate valve??

oh I forgot Bosch + DCX = Ripoff

...it will make you a better engineer :!: I never though my knowledge of gelling, cloud points, and transfat would ever apply to my job, but it is and this knowledge is saving our butts and the butts of the company who buys our machines and puts their name on them.
The most dangerous engineer has no personal toys or hobbies, the customers pay for the toys and have to live with them.

I think you're right. It has been my experience as well that those who go home and watch TV after work instead of blowing things up in their shop are not as interesting nor do they have as much to offer. But of course, right now, it isn't whether or not I'm a good engineer that matters, its whether I have a catchy resume, how well I can charm them in an interview, and whether or not I know anyone on the inside. Of course, most important of all, there has to be a job available to begin with.

Ya know....if I had a bit of start up capital, I would bet the MAP isn't wildly difficult to manufacture. I could sell it for 1/2 price or less......

Don,
Try here:

Don't mind these guys,,,they get going about something and seem like they aren't listening but they are... and will give ya an answer once in a while...engineers like to hear themselves talk occasionally.

Good luck!

Hey I'm just here for the coffee.
Unfortunately, what I offered about the CEL and the MAP already is about the extent of my knowledge.
