I know its straight forward, and this ain't the first time I've done it, but I can't ge the PML trans pan off for the life of me. Anyone got any advice/tips? I've smacked, pryed, and cussed at it and the darn thing won't budge!

I used a metal putty knife with a fine edge to pry mine loose. It took a while laying on the ground and I think I pulled a muscle in my shoulder contorting myself, but it eventually broke free...in a big gush. I imagine it's easier to do if the transmission is warm, too.

I just did mine today. The RTV is curing as I type this.

I left the front corner bolds just a few turns loosened and left the last side bolt toward the back on the driver side just a few turns into the threads. Then I drove (gently and carefully) a putty knife into the RTV along the back corner, and worked it around the sides until the pan dropped against the three remaining screws. Once it stopped dripping removed the screws and dumped what was left into my drain pan.

One other piece of advice, after removing the sump filter, I used a pair of flat needle nose pliers to crush the old gasket and pull it out. I couldn't get it out any other way. I used a screw driver handle to seat the new one. Worked fine.

Use a dead-blow hammer and a putty knife.
