Has anyone got a picture of a Renegade hood on a regular KJ? Or has anyone put one on there to see what it looks like? I know that there will be a gap between the hood and the grill. That's actually what I'm looking for. If it looks good, I would like to use that gap as a cold air intake. I will fill in the gap with fiberglass and create a tube to the air intake tube. If no one has one, I'll try to photoshop one up.
Thanks,
Rescu2000

Fenders should be the same, and he already knows the grille wont match up - what he is looking for..

fenders are not the same this same topic was brought about a year ago. and someone did a side by side comparison and the fenders are shaped differently because of the way the round headlights are slightly incorporated into the hood on the sport and ltd. they are not round on the rene hood

Yea, I'm not changing out the fenders to do that. Oh well.

Before dawn has a renny. As soon as Uwharrie opens back up, we'll see if we can get a group up to head down there. Maybe he can go and we can do a close comparison.

There are so many differences between the two since they are two different body styles. Compare the '06 Renny to any 05-07 Sport or Limited. Besides the cosmetics, the hood and grill appear to be the only difference.

Side question while we are talking about them. Is the roof rack from an 03 renegade paticular to that year only? You know the one that is big flat plastic instead of pipe.

Like these.

Opposed to these.

Did not noticed that when originally posting in the thread.. However, the non-Renegade hoods from 02-07 are all the same, so it is a moot point.

The only way to actually determine whether it matches up without trying it, is to have pictures from straight ahead and the same size. Otherwise, someone is going to have to bolt one up (Im still placing money on it lining up, but the hood latch may be another story). Not to mention the chrome trim rings around your headlights hide the lines that would show whether it matches up or not.. We need a similar picture of a 02-04 without those rings to compare (and Im too lazy to look).

EDIT: Oh, and FWIW, 05-07 Liberties all use the same front fenders according to cross-references.

EDIT again: So, the Renegade hood will line up. End of argument. Yay for research.

Thanks for the info guys. I think I'm going to try to find a Junk Yard hood and play around with it when the weather gets a little better.
