This started with your opinion on Treadwright tires. Has your opinion about those tires, or retreads in general, been altered by this report?

I actually have 2 root concerns

1) can they do real incoming inspections?
the report clearly shows Michelin and Goodyear can.
however there are literally about 1000 independent retreaders
- they may or may not be as good - the reports gives you some good questions to ask
- I don't know where Treadwright falls in this - I would definitely ask them some questions before I'd buy.

2) all of the Government reports show retreads over-represented in tire debris. That data remains.
(The conclusion said 'the proportion was similiar' but if you crunch the numbers in the charts
67% of Debris from 45% of the tires -that was not explained.)

They all have very similar test that each tire goes through before during and after the retreading process, there are some ( or used to be companies that were not as good) but companies like Treadwright / Stone tire are great companies with a very good product line. My cousin has a great line of tires as well with over 40 years in the retreading business problem is that they do not do larger tires like I want.
