Okay so please someone help. I am trying to remove the factory roof rails off my 2005 Renegade and I seriously have no idea. There are no end caps that pop off like the Grand Cherokee my friend has, only two little screw in the steel part of the rail that really do not want to loosen... If anyone has any idea please help me out!!! Thank you!

Thats all you have to do is remove the end caps , have to have the front and back door open to remove the fronts, take a small thin screwdriver and pry CAREFULLY along the seam, small metal clips hold the end caps on, use an 8 mm socket or wrench and remove the bolts then the rail 15 minute job tops even in the cold

I assume that the later models are like the 2002-2004

It made perfect sense once I went out and took a second look! :D A Con-Ferr roof rack is going on once I finish the painting but taking off the factory is major motivation for me to finish that! Hopefully it will be on by the end of the week :?

Bet it looks funny now! I sold my rack and rails last weekend ( stood outside in the snow and removed mine, took the rails off of Towstraps and installed mine on his) and now mine looks like it got a flattop hair cut or something    Can not wait for my new one to get here!

The Conn-Ferr will look good on there! Did you get it used ?

Yeah, it looks pretty ridiculous! That is my motivation to get the Con-Ferr painted and install the spare tire mount ASAP!! If only the paint for the hi-lift mount and shovel mount would arrive! :? I bought it used off of here from a fellow AZLOSTer.

What roof rack did you order for yours?
