Well its time for new tires, need a little help on deciding on which one of the two to go with, if anyone has any insight or personal experience I would appreciate the help in order to decide.

Thanks ahead of time

Love the STT's they'll be going on the KJ next. Not a very aggressive MT, but riders well, strong, and quiet on the street.

Careful on the sidewalls of the STT. We were on a trail run and a guy had a 3" slice cut into his STT and he had no idea where it came from. He didn't run over any sharp rocks or anything. The trail was soft dirt so we traced our steps back and found a root, that was pretty itty bitty, but was the only thing that might have done it. Other than that one incident, I have heard they are great.

Hmm, I've always heard good things about their sidewalls. Same amor-tek that procomp uses (or vice-a-versa)

I know, me too. This was the first and only time I've seen or heard it. You could fit 2 fingers in the slice in the tire, big hole. May have been a freak thing, don't know. He was driving a TJ Rubi with 35" STTs.

I think the Firestone Destination M/T’s look good, but I haven’t really heard any long-term feedback from that particular tire. The Cooper Discoverer STT’s seem to be a tried and true tire. Given the history of the two tire companies, I’d probably vote for the Coopers.

Really? I had no idea, I've always heard that Pro Comp isn‘t really considered a great tire. On some forums they refer to them as "PRO CRAP" tires. Who makes Mickey Thompson tires? Doesn’t Cooper make them as well?

Do we have any official info on whether Cooper, Mickey Thompson and Pro Comp are all the same parent company?

I did know about Mickey Thompson and Cepek's connection, but that is all.

Yes Cooper makes a lot of different tires from what has already been mentioned to other private cheaper rated box store tires.

Great company

Cooper, M/T, and ProComp are not the same company. Cooper simply manufactures M/T and ProComp tires. IIRC, the old Richard Cepeks were not made by Cooper, but since M/T owns Cepek now, they are.

Out of the three, Coopers are typically the best. the ProComp ATs are pretty well garbage.

Cooper also makes that Hercules TerraTrac that some people seem to love so much, and TONS of other tires like Tom mentioned.

Mostly made in Findlay, Ohio too :P

EDIT
You've got to be FREAKIN KIDDING ME, I can't put Richard? it's a freaking NAME.
