I just called NAPA and unless he was looking at the wrong thing he quoted me about $150 for a set of rear shoes for the 02 Liberty... WTF! I think I'm gonna ask the Jeep garage I deal with to do it, they will be able to get me the parts at a honest price

my rear brakes just started locking up, very very aggressively when applying brake rolling at only 5mph... i drove around to the liquor store, etc.. and it was fine.. parked, came back a few hours later and rear brakes are locking up so violently, the jeep feels like it is falling apart... ANYONE?? there are no leaks or visible damage to the line as i can see... :(

it just the 02's that have rear drums? (not talking about drum style E-brake) mean actual drum brakes rather than disc?

just put rotors on the rear and pads on all four corners for about 160 from advance auto parts. plus i get another set of pads free when i replace them again. i guess it pays off to buy the top of the line ceramic pads when you can.

Just a bit of advise. it is recomended that when replacing disk pads you also replace the rotors.

Did a brake job today.Went with the EBC greens all around with EBC rotors up front.
Very easy brake job.No bleading.
Drove around all day,Excelent braking.
Here's a picture of the best and worst pad.
