"Cherokee" Badging

Has anyone ever put the "Cherokee" side pieces on an '05-'07 KJ? I think they are export only pieces.

Try a junk yard for the ones off an old cherokee. or did they change the style when they slapped it on the euro libertys?

I need a new liberty badge on my passenger door, mine is missing half of 2 of the letters

Here in the Middle East, all Liberties come with Cherokee badges and Side Molding, if you want I can send you from here.

i just bought some lettering from them on Tuesday and it looks like a decent product. im going to debadge the whole jeep, put KJ on the front doors, put KJ where the 3.7L is and jeep where the current jeep and 4X4 is on the rear gate. for all 10 letter cost me 43.00 cdn with shipping. i post some pic as soon as i get them in and on

I looked for KJ Cherokee badges myself awhile ago but didn't have much luck. Maybe try a place like Quadratec for the XJ Cherokee badges.

In the '05-up KJ's, they aren't badges. The words are molded into the door molding on the front doors. I would ASSume that the same years of KJ outside of north america would have "cherokee" molded in? I was curious....

I have a "6 speed" badge I hade made for the tailgate, but I have never put it on.

i have thought about geting the molding from an 02 - 04 and getting the cherokee letters from an xj ..... or even try and find the part numbers for the 05 - 07 kj from the dealer or try calling a parts house in the uk or someplace that speaks english

I've looked into this for another member but ordering a set of 'cherokee' badges for the 02'-04 will cost you $85 if I buy them here. :shock:

Jinstall has Cherokee on his '06. But he bought those when he was stationed in Germany.

BTW, they are not the same size that are in the old Cherokee models

I gotta find a pic of an '05 or newer side molding. I like the font on yours, SS-Virus. Looks more in keeping with the KJ's lines.

No problem, I can get you a picture for the molding in 05 and newer, I have to go to the dealer tomorrow, and take some pictures.

I myself have inquired at jeep dealers in Europe (specifically Czech republic, since I have family there) and each moulding with the name cherokee runs about $250 each for the 05 models in chrome. I myself have brought over 2 the spare tire covers that holds the license plate that I pulled off 04 KJ's at a junk yard. These moulding are expensive, I keep trying to find a country that might sell them a bit cheaper where the dollar might be a bit stronger than the Euro or other European currency

Rebadging your Libby definately would personalize it but I don't think I'd pay as much as $500.
