My first jeep was an 02 KJ, it was only 2WD so after 3 years I got my 05 KJ with 4WD and been loving it. When this one is paid off in a year I will be looking to get me a wrangler to add to the family.

1980 CJ7.

Bought it in June of 1998, drove it six months, blew up the crappy SR4 tranny and had it professionally rebuilt. Drove it another six months and the tranny blew up again on the day of my high school graduation in June of 1999 (I was actually on my way to graduation). Sold it for about a $1500 loss. Wish I kept it...

'05 Liberty, bought about 3 weeks ago. Was driving a beater taurus and blew a head gasket. Remembered how much I liked the Liberty back in 02 but couldn't afford new and here I am.

'76 Postal. Still miss it. :D Always wanted to convert the sucker to 4x. I was told once, "No matter how good of shape you 'think' that jeep is in, you will have an entirely new jeep, one part at a time, by fall". (She was right)

Did I mention I still miss it? (I have a fondness for fixing old vehicles and a sickness: It's called........JEEP)

Oh, I forgot to mention: Swamp water doesn't seem to kill postal jeeps. It just makes them angry. And smelly. EVEN if they are 3 or 4 feet deep.....)

Actually...the oil pump went first & threw a rod. Then the used $400 engine that I replaced it with lasted through TWO tranny rebuilds and finallly blew. Was a eventful 8 yrs and 100k mi....

The good news is I spent a total of about 9k total on that car in purchase cost, maintenance, and repairs. I've had worse for 8 years of use.

both bought new, I wouldn't mind another wrangler

1992 GC
1994 Wrangler, 4cyl, manual. I drove it off the lot & straight to goodyear. They gave me full price for the rinky-dink tires that were on it & I upsized a bit w/ new wheels. I still have the brand new factory steel wheels w/ trims & caps on top of the barn...I forgot about that. I think they're even wrapped in plastic. Are they antiques yet? lol

I'd always liked the Wrangler look. First was a '98 TJ w/ the 4.0L

but before that shagging cars @ a GM dealership w/ a old CJ no roof, no doors no wildshield and a front bumper w/ 2 tires bolted on for pushing SAAB's around the lot.

Driving my first jeep now, 02 liberty :) Thinking that in the next year or so I will be done building it, lifting and tires this spring, in the summer I'm getting some hellas, in the winter I'm getting a snorkle, then next summer I'm gonna lock and regear. After that I want a ATV, and a YJ :) I'll never retire the KJ as a trail rig, but I'de like a more hard core rig for the more hard core trails.

My first is that '96 Cherokee I'm still driving...I'll probably keep it forever.

I did. It brought back good times. You know........driving on the wrong side of the vehicle, hanging on for dear life at break-neck speeds of 25-30 mph, shoe prints on the floor, door, and ceiling. (As it s-l-o-w-l-y rolled over, at 2 mph)

Yep. good times  And I STILL miss it. Definitely a Jeep thing.
