Mattracks on a KJ?

This is waaay out there, as many of my ideas are (duellys, roof mount snorkle, etc) but I'm hoping this one is closer to possible than others LOL. So, mattracks, I've only ever seen them on ATVs, but after seeing them mentioned on a post somewheres here, I saw them on trucks, suv's etc. I've yet to seem them on a liberty, let alone a KJ so I'm wondering if its possible. I'm sure if it is possible, the IFS would make it almost impossible but, any of you guys know if its doable? I'm sure they are super expensive, and would need lots of trimming, but, lets let this idea roll and see if we get somewheres.

My thought is one thread down is one about a guys wheel falling off, and at least two threads a week about exploding front diffs, broken UBJ, worn out wheel bearings....ect...ect...ect

Cool thought, but not gonna happen without a SFA lib and a stinky poo ton of money. :shock:

No, we just need to recruit some rich guys to purchase a KJ and a KK who will then try all this stuff so us regular Joes and Janes know what works and what don'T... :wink:

I've seen an AWD Astro done up with them, so why not?

It could be done but they cost like $26000 for a set so it's not very practical. They just bolt on like wheels. As long as the bolt pattern fits it should work.

Obihann if we all split the cost then we can set up some kind of time share. :lol:

Here's another idea. Just buy a set of 2 for the rear. And then put skis on the front.

At least I know its been done lol. I can't belive how expensive it is, thats sick! I wonder if they would rub at full lock since you would have the smallest bit of the tire at the top?
