Miss Basketball.

My younger sister Rachel was just nominated Miss basketball in Michigan! for those of you who don't know, It is a state wide award givin to one high school athlete, which is voted on by high school and college coaches. she also broke the school record in Points, rebounds, and blocks. she just signed with University of Michigan on a full ride scholarship last month.

or at least thats what my friends tell me. my older sistes is on a fullride to saginaw valley state for softball as well. and i.. well i sat the bench...

Jeeze! that's an outstanding rap sheet, I guess i should start payin attention to womens basketball again, friend of mine when i was in HS ended up playin for UNC, i quit watchin after she graduated

She probably chose her school to be a "big fish in a little pond." With those credentials, she could have gone to a good school had she wanted to..... :lol:

those numbers are crazy. Tell her congrats... also don't worry about not being good at sports... It's the same with me and my sis. She is good at any sport, but academically, I have her beat :twisted:

Just for example, she asked where some one could buy tap water so she could do her experiment at home :shock:

My son got a Full Ride Scholarship in Music to Illinois Wesleyan a few years ago.

It only costs us $10,000 a year to cover the other fees, charges, books, and other uncovered expenses.

What a deal for us.

I hope UM treats your sister and parents better than that.

her scholarship covers everything including books, as well as pays her $1200 / month for "living expenses" even though the team stays in the dorms. plus the get paid to work at basketball camps in the summer. shes talking about buying an H3! Im trying to talk some sence into her. and my family would have disoned her if she turned down a scholarship from U of M..
