Well I have saved up 1500 now I can't decide of I should buy the 2.5 or wait and get the 4 I'm really just not sure because I'd love to put 33s but I'm not sure they will fit and why spend an extra grand and only be able to fit 265/75 either way... Hey digger think you could jack some 33s to see if hey fit LOL

from what I have heard and seen putting 32" is pushing the limits of the kk. the cv joints and the loss of torque. so 33"s might be out of the question. but somewhere some one posted a kk with 33"s but stated for looks only can turn! with a 2.5 or 4.5" you can fit 235/85r16 under which are 31.7 to 32" the only advantage of the 4" is better aproach and stuff like that. I think for sure a 4" would be better if you offroad and want not to be worried or limited. if you know what your doing you could get by with less of a lift with being an expert on picking the right lines to follow. I can't wait to be able to get a lift need money first wish there was a sale the first bunch to promote these jba lifts in action.

if your willing to cut your KK 33'' will fit

the liberator II use 285/70 17 33'' on 2'' lift but you should also consider 255/85 16 on stock wheels might fit on the 4'' lift with just pounding of the pinch weld

x2 on the cutting. Cv's arn't a problem on the KK up to 4 inches. Get the 4 inch lift and ditch the skycraper shocks that come with it for a stiffer shock. The skycrapers are great for a smooth ride and all but they leave a lot of the work to the springs

Even running 32" tires you will want to regear, the loss of power will be very great with stock gearing and 3" taller tires that will weigh up to 30lbs more then the stockers.

So you may want to figure at least for another $2000 for regear if you want to run 33" tires on a KK,4.56 gears would be the ratio you want. You need the JK D30 front gears and 8.25 rear gears and install kits, which is about $500 or so and then the rest is labor since the front diff will need to be removed to regear. Then while you are doing the regear and to save on labor might as well through in lockers also, looking at $1000-$2000 more depending on lockers, just remember no auto lockers will work in the front diff since the lack of being able to unlock the front diff will break parts real easy.

thats why I'm staying at the stock size for now... also I don't know how large of tire you can program in to the computer in the KK

Hey guys...having just got my 2.5", let me weigh in. As I posted elsewhere, I'd probably opt for the 4" in hindsight, now that I see how smooth the vehicle rides with the 2.5". Especially if you want to fit anything in the neighborhood of a 32" tire....I just can't see it getting stuffed under the 2.5", but I could be wrong.

I'll be getting new tires ASAP...so we'll see how they fit.
