I'm thinking that when I get the KM2s I will take the mud flaps off, that way when I'm in the mud, I get a bit more paint on the jeep lol, plus it will show off the beautiful tread pattern more :) Any of you guys already done this? or did you never have them to start?

I never had any to begin with. I think if the KJ did come with them, I would've taken them off right then and there. I'm just not a fan of them.

When I was a kid in PA we used to call them "Tennessee Go Fasters". It was in reference to people being red necks. I would only have them if stones were flying up causing damage.

I have the moulded OEM flaps. With 245/75.R16 BFG TA/KO on 1.25" Spacers causes the tire to stick out just passed the wheel well. This in turn causes a ton of crap to get thrown up along the doors, especially in the winter. With my normal every day driving I have the flaps on, when I take it offroad I remove the flaps (4 screws per holding them in place).

Yeah I took mine off... To hell with the rock protection I say, thats the least of my worries where I am living. I have to deal with paved roads that put some trails to same and winters where you cant tell the difference between if its snow or salt on the ground...
My Renny doesn't stay a chance of staying "mint" ha

I've got em front and back, because of rocks and stuff flying up smashing and chipping the rear doors and flares, and as well as so I don't throw stones at the guy behind me...
