lift help. will pay

I bought some ome springs for my jeep. evry where i go, they want $300 and some change to put them on. i can pay $150-200 if some one can get these on for me. also will rustys fron struts work with ome springs?

Last i knew Rusty used OME struts on their lift. I would help but I'm no where near local. I got it together myself with no previous lift experience and its made it through a bunch of wheeling and several 500 mile trips to school. I say you should seriously consider printing off a how to and doing it.

PS: Thought you were going for the 6 " JBA kit

my rear drivers side spring is acting R E tarded so i had to get a new one and i didnt want rusty's again. 4 wheelparts said they will do a sfa swap out at $75 per hour labor so i'll probably do that when i get some $$ together. if i had the tools is would try it my self

If it's just the rear you should be able to do that yourself with no problems.

Check out a couple of the how-to's. From the sounds of it, you will save yourself 400-500 dollars!

Mudd's Off The Wall Garage price for installation for what you have is front 200 rear 75. plus any extra parts needed right now.

After March 15, 2009

OME or Frankenlift complete install $325.00
plus supplies and extra parts if needed.
Extra charge of $30.00 if I have to compress the springs etc.
Alignment $65.00 at a reputable local shop

Will also trade for parts, supplies, or most anything you have that I can use or sell :wink:

i have a spacer kit u can use if that will take any off. one of my rear shocks is leaking so i need new ones

sorry not to be mean or anything but I have enough junk lifts laying around , only use for them is door stops, no real value to me as I will not install them.

not hurting my feelings on that. i never put it on.
im planning on my next check being around 600. minus 50 for uniform and lets say minus 100 for taxes. so 450- 330 is 120. then take away 100 because i busted a seal on my passengers side rear shock.
ps. rancho, ome skyjacker, rustys, and pro comp shocks are all 14inches compressed and 22 inches extended, same as stock. the 4 wheel parts guy called all those companies and they dont make longer than stock shocks for the liberty. strange right? super lift and koni make longer shocks. i thought that was strange because they are all advertised as shocks for a lifted jeep.

If you were closer, I'd help you do it for FREE, and you'd learn how to do it. The most you would spend is $40 to run over to Pep Boys and have them swap the shocks on their high powered spring compressors.

Get real Don, LOST people no charge I am doing a Frankenlift this weekeend for someone over your way. Also installing new rear shocks on another members and CVs in another.
We do not mess around in Ohio :wink:

OH but I do charge people that are not LOST members
have to pay for the supplies and tools I break or lose doing LOST members repairs

I don't think It's unreasonable to charge...... I would have paid someone 200+ to have helped me when I installed the frankenlift.... Especially after the 4th hour... :roll:

And since Tom's tools are being used... WEAR AND TEAR....

Start sending our 3 lifts a month over to Don... and see if he won't want to charge after the 5th-6th one... All-J's charges a flat fee of ONLY 350...

I've heard a little backstory on this, and I am sure my reaction would be the same had I known the details. If someone asks for help and doesn't show up more than once, I would stop offering.

However, I probably do help or supervise a lift or some sort of wrenching at least once per month if not more, and all I ask is that if a group is there, the people who own the jeeps that are getting wrenched on buy lunch.

To me, it's all about the jeeping spirit to help out, and it's a great time to get together and BS about jeeps for the day.

When I still had my KJ, I bet I helped install at least 6 frankenlifts or Rusty's lifts. Since I've helped form the current club I'm in, I've worked on at least 30-40 jeeps. Anytime the money comes out, I tell them to put it away. That's how I was treated in the beginning and I feel like it's good karma to pass it along.
