OK. I actually checked mine this morning. The cut maybe could have been a little neater, (makes you wonder why they didn't just wrap it around the edge) but it is not coming apart.

Same here. I checked mine and it's not a razor sharp cut but I wouldn't say it's much better or worse than in your pics. And keep in mind those pics are magnified a fair bit, and few fabrics can be cut absolutely even, without any bumps.

I agree with the suggestion that the fabric should have been wrapped around the edge; I can see it becoming an issue in 15+ years, and because it goes right to the edge it's easy to see when it starts to come apart.

I wouldn't say yours (OP's) was perfect, but I'd say it was within the range of "normal", although maybe just at the edge of normal.

No way that is normal, and if it is, then no wonder Chrysler is in the tank. They can't get a headliner right????

Mine looks very similar to the OP's. On the passenger side it's nice and neat. On the driver's side there is about a 1/2 inch gap. I'm sure it will start to come apart in time. Kind of what I would expect if you don't buy a Honda or Toyota.

That should be a warranty fix ... How many miles are on your truck?

If you are having issues getting it fixed you can go over your dealers head and call Chrysler direct. You might have more luck getting resolved that way. They can put in a call to the dealership and tell them to warranty it.

When you call express to them how disappointed you are with your purchase and how you regret it and won't ever make another Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge purchase again and they'll get it fixed.

If its like this now don't you think its only going to get worse?

Maybe you don't expect things to be right on a $30K vehicle, but I sure would.......................

IM TACO KILLER!!! YEAH! hahahahaha
thanks to all the admins and mods that made my dream come true!
Regarding the headliner thingy:
its true that I just noticed it but thats whats cool about forums! you find issues with your car you never thought you had!
My next question would be:
Is this issue a skyslider/sunroof issue? or everyone had it?
OHH and another question:
Is the nitro having the same issue?
I know Nitrofreak will have the answer!

I saw thison 4 other non skyview models all 2009... with 10 miles on them.

The dealer director thinks it is normal.
The service writter things it should be covered under warranty.

I will go over the dealer head on this one.
I already e-mailed Chrysler. they said see the deal.
Well I told I did and they said go back, I love the run around.

On monday when I e-mail back, they will not be happy to give me this run around... My job, is tech support, when I get the run around it sorta ticks me off. As I never give my clients the run around..

If you saw my earlier post, I said I expect this to be a problem in several years. If they were smart they would have had the fabric roll past the edge and tucked up, rather then end the way it has. The way it is now it is almost guaranteed to become an issue.

So yes, this is something that should have designed better, but it wasn't. My comment above however was until it was pointed out, no one (other than the OP) even noticed it.

You want to take it to Chrysler, go ahead. I don't really see what they can do. I suppose they could pull more down, and then reapply additional adhesive. That might solve the problem, or might make things even worse. I suppose they could put some sort of edge protector on. But I doubt they're going to do much, if anything. It's a $30,000 vehicle, not a $60,000, and $30K doesn't buy what it used to.
