Ok, so I installed my overhead console and everything works great, including the temp readout. I was wondering if anyone knows how the compass/direction display works? How does it know the actually direction your going, I wanna make sure it is registering the right direction. Also, the only feature that I don't know what it is something that says " ODO and has a readout like this, -.- and the ODO underneath. Is that something that needs to be hooked up to the speedo for it to work? And Homelink is simply syncing the garage door fob to it?

Homelink only works if you do not have one of those garage doors that change the frequencies automatically (forget what that called  ) like mine. It's in your kj user manual. The ODO will not work since you are using an OTIS and is not compatible with kj computer.

Also, you have to calibrate your compass (also in user manual). You need to turn on compass and drive in a circle a couple of times so that it calibrates.

When I put my OTIS in, I just drove around like usual with the compass in CAL mode. After a while it figured itself out and now reads right. As mentioned, the ODO will not work.

I scored an ambient temp sensor for $11 shipped so I have that hooked up now too. :D

My homelink works perfect with our garage door opener which does have rolling codes. Our WK also works with it.

The ODO is the odometer that you can reset each time you get gas. It just counts the miles like the regular odo does.

The compass works just like every other compass but its electronic. Uses the magnetic field of the earth. Not sure what else you need to know about it. Drive towards the sun in the morning and if it says east(or close to it) its good. Or just use a regular compass to test it.

My homelink also works with our "rolling code" garage door opener
