 I finally received my Chrome Cherokee door molding. I only needed the front so that is all I have to replace. The cost for just the front doors including shipping was about $85 US and about 18 days of waiting.
Now I am headed outside to get started on replacement.
:D  :D  :D  :D

8) I got them from a dealership in Scotland. 8) Spoke to the Parts Manager several times over the phone as well as through email for purchase. The phone was for credit card info because they don't have a website to purchase parts and didn't want that info sitting around in an email. They seemed more friendly and helpful then the PMs here in the states; at least the ones I've dealt with.

What does the back of the "Cherokee" look like? Does it still have the Limited or 4x4 or 3.7L badging? Does it still say Jeep on the hood and hatch? Anything else change besides the side molding?

OK, so for those who have chrome and want to keep their chrome remember this is a factory replacement part and you do not need to replace the rear doors. This is the part numbers for just the front doors...remember this is for CHROME...Part # 55157210AA and Part # 55157211AA. ( sorry, don't have the #s for the black  ) You cannot get these part #s in the States as they are listed as Export Only. I tired two different dealers and also contacted Chrysler in Detroit. All gave me the same answer. So, this is who I found to help me. He is a super nice person so please treat him kindly.

Derek Neilson
Parts Supervisor
Murray Chrysler Jeep & Dodge
T 0141 429 1616
F 0141 429 2020
E/Mail dneilson@jmgroup.co.uk

Derek is located in Scotland and it took him about 3 days to get the parts in to his department. He took it to the PO that same day and had it sent airmail to me. It took 17 to 18 days for me to receive it. The cost was only $10 usd to ship it airmail. All totaled $84.xx for all and that includes the currency conversion costs.

Sorry, the process went too quickly for pictures. :P
It was a nice warm sunny day here in FL, 8) about 85deg. so the vehicle was warm to the touch. I got a small screwdriver and pried the corner away from the jeep and placed a thick piece of string behind it and started sawing away. It worked for an inch or so then broke. I pulled out the big guns :P and placed an open wire tie behind the molding and started sawing again. Once I got the old molding removed I took some adhesive remover and sprayed it on and let it sit for a few minutes then started rubbing off any remaining adhesive. Process took me about an hour and 30 minutes total. It helped that the trim was hot because I have tried to remove things like this before in the cold and had one heck of a time. hope this helps :P

 May I offer a piece of advice :?: If you have some fishing line that would work perfectly in the removal of the door molding.

 thanks for posting the pics Digger :!:

 The parts do not come with instructions on removal or replacement but when you get to that point and you need some help I have a .PDF copy that I found somewhere on the net that I can send out.

The wheels are Mamba 17x8 with a 5-1/4" BS.
My tire guy charged me extra to mount the tires because those spokes do actually ride the lip of the rim making it almost impossible for him to get the tire on.

Awesome. Great mod. (Can it be considered a Mod? lol)

I'd do it but my Jeep already says Cherokee. :P
