You Guys Are Going To Like This!

Many years ago my brother had a dog that was constantly jumping up on his car to sleep on the roof. He broke that dog of doing real fast! He took a Model "T" coil and hooked it up to the battery and to a metal part of the car. When the dog touched that bumper to boost it's self up it received about 10,000 volts of low amperage charge. Needless to say that dog let out a very loud yelp. Never tried it again!

Now to my problem. I live in a 55+ community here in Florida. Right next to us is a very old run down trailer court. Last year it was sold and the new owner is letting anyone move in there and you can guess what type of people they are. Little 10 year old kids outside playing at midnight on school nights etc. Well, all of a sudden we are getting car break ins. This happens in the middle of the night.

How can I make a cheap "something" that would work like that old coil did years ago? BTW, a new wooden box Model T Buzz coil cost about $75.00 now.

Keep in mind, even the smallest charge could do harm to a kid with a medical condition.

Though I like the idea.

Warning signs should be posted on all sides of vehicle. Check with a lawyer and police on this.

i'm willing to get sued for that one, how would you turn it off and on though? toggle switch under the fender or something?

just run a small bare wire behind the plastic door handle, then its insulated from the electronics, as well as hidden. but i think anyone motivated enough is going to get past that either way. just get an alarm system.

As long as your not grounded (gloves) your not going to get shocked. The switch could be anywhere that is hidden. One shot of voltage they will leave it alone. I was told an electric fencer would do it. Might try that.

you do what I use to do in my neighborhood, if you know where its coming from you go there and you tell them," Dont care what you do in your World; you come , or bring it into mine and we have issues" Strenth comes in numbers. Trust me it works. That is if the authorities dont fix it first.

In all seriousness, this kind of thing has been looked in to! The germans did come up with the flamethrower idea. And I once saw a kit you could buy to turn your driver's seat into an electric chair. Try to start the car (without prior procedures) and you nearly die. Just 8 little tiny metal studs (about the size of a bb) in the back and bottom of the seat. Worked like a charm, unfortunately for the test dummy.

I myself live in a neighborhood that is one of the best around, but suffers some of the worst break-ins and full thefts. Believe me, if the law would even slightly allow it, I would've already built my own setup for every car I've ever owned.

I still think Cobras hanging out on the seats works best. Build yourself immune to the venom (unless you are Sicilian).

sorry, anything with a hood better be a vehicle or some sort of jacket or hoodie otherwise im swingin a machette at it and probably taking half the seat with it and it better not spit none of that snake jizzle at me either

i got bit by a habu twice on a hump at NTC okinawa

snakes are for eating..

or rodent control if theyre just black snakes
