then they took you because you did not know enough to argue with them. there is no way the correct plugs would make the problem you had happen. it happens and is the exact reason i do all my own work.

how long ago did this happen to you? if this happened recently then i think you need to go talk to the repair manager where ever you took that jeep and if you cannot get them to give you your money back then take your paperwork and talk to the general manager. if nothing good happens talk with a lawyer and file a claim with the better business bureau against that dealership. there is no way in hell correct plugs would do that

hold on: you said the same size. did you match the numbers that were on the plugs or di you use the computer to get the right ones? not just hold them up against some others and see if they looked the same. (not trying to be rude but i reread your answer and it is very vague)

i've been thinking about your thread this morning while messing around the house here (spring break rocks!!!) and it seems like you just want another vehicle period, not that you really are worried about keeping your liberty. you have about 4 pages of people giving you info but you keep bringing back links to these other vehicles you want instead of the liberty and saying how much you would have towards it if you sold the liberty. why don't you stop messing around then and just sell the liberty and get what you want?

Just because they fit does not mean they were the correct plugs.Realistically you can only expect $5000 max for trade in for your KJ and if the right person comes around maybe $6900 for private sale(according to KBB).

Ok so even if you get your 8 Grand trade in... (unlikely but)
Buy your 17000 dollar Rubi. Then take it to a mechanic to go through EVERYTHING Changing all fluids and pull the plugs to inspect the motor because you don't know what the history of the jeep it. All know by looking at it if the exterior condition of the jeep which may look ok, but then again your exterior looks ok too.

So buy 17000 jeep, then go spend 1+ grand to see what is possibly going wrong with it from the dealer.

All of this means nothing though, as does everyone else's comments about your previous buys: your lift, your waiting on exhaust fix, and now this. You clearly have it in your head that the grass is greaner on the other side. Same problem with my 23 yr old sister, only my dad and I do all the work on that. We told her if she's stupid and buys a new car to get a "warranty" we're not touching the new car and she can pay for all work and pay a 100+ dollar deductable every time.

But seriously are you even listening to all theses guys who're older than you and done it in the past and their suggestions?

I've ownd my KJ for almost 2 years and never had it off road yet other than some fire roads while out geocaching. It's my daily driver but that doesn't mean I don't want to build it up. Just because it says Jeep on it doesn't mean you have to beat the pi$$ out of it. Maybe that's why you are having the problems you are having now. :?

So basically you would be very upside down on a new/newer car loan since that $5500 trade in would most likely not cover the remainder of the KJ's bank note and they would add the rest to the new/newer vehicle price. So now you would be paying $2000+ more for the same vehicle, more payments, and you'd need to pay that vehicle completely off before getting rid of it since you'd be really upside down on the next vehicle. It's a brutal cycle that is hard to break.I'd say keep the KJ until it is paid off that way the trade in would actually reduce the price on the next vehicle instead of paying just some of the remaining bank not balance.

Why? You stated you could not afford it anyways.Start saving your money, sell all the mod parts and pay the KJ off before trading her in 1st.

pinion seal or rvt seal... could be forgeting more things but both are simple things and both could be fixed cheaper than the warrenty deductable if you would learn to do it yourself.

That is part of wheeling. If your not capable of doing the simplest tasks on your vehicle you may need to stick to pavement and stay away from the offroading stuff.Like someone else has stated a Hyundai might suit you better since they have a long warranty but you need to follow a strict service schedule and prove it. Start taking some night/weekend classes at a community college or vo-tech school, they offer cheap courses for basic stuff. Many places will also hold classes on the basic stuff also like GoodYear and such.I'm not saying you need to know how to rebuild the engine but at least know the simple stuff like oil changes, diff service,t-case service, how to install your lift(this is very important when you break something in your suspension while offroad like a CV axle),and so on so you can at least know how to some what fix your ride to get home when in the middle of nowhere and out of cell phone range.

have you ever looked for HOW TO's on things... some are very simple, lift being one of them. Removing a diff cover is so simple, unbolt, scrape clean, reseal, rebolt.

I'd bet a diff fluid drain/seal/fill is easier never done hellas though.

Here, tomorrow jump under the jeep, find out where it's leaking. Take pics. Also look around the area to get your thoughts on how things go together/ come apart. Bring both to the table and I'm sure you will be helped. Might even have the right idea on construction. Meet people half way and it goes much smoother.
