Big Red Machine was Pre-High Salary era. Unless the owner of the club has an endless amount of money to waste on the team, I think those days are long over for Cinci, sad to say.

Football...went down hill as soon as ole Mikey took over...he's an idiot plain and simple. I tell people the common factor in our crappy team is him, they want to talk coaches, players, etc.
Red's I don't know. Get good names, crappy coaches. Get good coach, crappy players. Doesn't help with the team selling every few years. Marge had it going on in '90, we had the Nasty Boyz!!!!I think she started getting old and senile after that, lost her touch.
.....and I do remember the Big Red Machine, only 7-8yrs old, but that's the only time I watched them when I was little.

At least the other cities still back their teams, dedicated fans. We have a few, but after years and years and years of losing....who cares anymore. Got to repsect them all for that!

I was raised in Colorado and have been a die-hard Broncos fan since birth (anyone else remember the Orange Crush?). Cutler is a fine physical athlete but a piss-poor teammate. Tantrums and selfishness has never worked too well in Denver. I was glad to see Clinton Portis pack his ego onto a C5 and move it to DC and I'm glad to see Cutler do the same with his.

I'm excited about the Broncos rebuilding phase. But I'll never get over Elam playing for someone else. :cry:

I like what Greenbay's GM said when he learned of the trade. There was a major earth shaking in the NFC North. ... And this was by estimates, the trade of the century.

We'll be laughing all the way to the SB trophy this year and a few more to come.

The bears started in what, 1926, as the Staleys? They have been in the NFL decades longer then the Vikes, and they have more wins? Wow. I am shocked. Same with most of those other stats. Hey, if you suck for 2 decades, fall back on your glory days before television... :lol:

If you're going to profile the team, at least know the heck you're talking about. The Staleys were formed in 1920. The next year, (that would be 1921 for the mentally challenged) George Halas renamed the team the Chicago Bears.

How many Viking players have trophy's named after them? NONE. The Bears have two, The Butkus Award and the Walter Payton Award.

Tell me again, how many Super Bowl trophy's have the Vikings won? ZERO, ZILCH, NONE, NADA.

As for the Cubs, they SUK, just like the Twins.

If you're going to comment about what happened in Denver, at least present the facts. That way it makes you appear to actually know what you're talking about. There was much more to it than simply hearing the word, trade.

This is stupid but I had to submit a reply.

First, for the Bears, it was a lottery win. The Bears got exactly what they've needed for years. And if anyone doesn't think the Bears are now a serious contender to be feared offensively, then your are in for a rude awakening.

As for Cutler and what happened in Denver. It really doesn't matter now does it. Things didn't work out. Both sides are to blame. And both sides are now happy. However, those of you who are Bronco fans, you can flame Cutler and pout all you want, but if you don't think the Bronco players wer upset by this, you don't understand team sports.

Incommando, sorry but you really made yourself look stupid here. YOU offered to go back 20 years. It is obvious you did a Google search to pick & choose that time frame. But when Oddball offered-up team history, you replied by insulting him. This made you look childish to many or as I would say, like a pinhead. The Vikings have been in the league longer than 20 years. And they've never won a Super Bowl.

I think everyone should go back to talking about Jeeps.

And as to Fans: By far the most rabid fans are Steelers fans. I wish that Vikes fans were that fierce. But Bears fans? Sorry, they don't hold a candle to Steelers fans.

How many Super Bowls have the Bears been in? Hmmm. Yeah, I guess being the 2nd best team in the world four times just sucks, huh? I am sure that Bears fans were much more satisfied watching the Vikes in 4 superbowls while their team was saying "Wait until next year" again.

If the discussion is about Bears vs. Vikes, here is just about the only stat you need: Vikes all-time record vs. Bears? 51-42-2. Here endeth the lesson.

and yes if you add the 90 some wins against teams that don't exist anymore to the 600 some wins against teams that still do you get 700 some wins

this kinda stuff is exactly why i don't argue stats with any sports fan or non-sports fan

i give good friendly fun-poking and aggrivation against rival fans, and pretty much concede the argument as soon as they return it

for instance i gave oddball poop for bein a sox fan a couple times, he returned the jeering, but in the end we're both baseball fans and we left it at exactly that, just like we all drive jeeps (or harleys) and theres no reason to take it any farther than that

Who's fault in Denver? McDaniels (hoodie loser). The rest doesn't matter. it is over.
Bears? We will have to wait and see if those current receivers sucked because the QB's sucked or if they really can play football.
Vikings? Always getting a great player but never knowing how to finish up the team.
Cubs? They will always have a Steve Bartman show up to take it all away.
Twins? Are they still around?
Bengals? I am still rooting but hoping someone will get rid of Brown.
Reds? Same as Bengals. New ownership and GM.
Yankees/Cowboys/Braves/Lakers/and all other "America's teams" - go to LLEH.
